Black and Light Studio is the perfect natural light photography space to host your holiday mini sessions and portrait marathons. We have so much in store for you this year including new furniture, props and decor. Bookings are happening now, most weekends are close to being sold out, so book now. And remember, give yourself enough time to set up and tear down.
These scenes are examples of what you can create in the studio. These serve as inspiration and are not pre-set in the studio. All props and backdrops you see are available as part of your reservation. As always, you are welcome to use our studio scene images to promote your sessions.

Plan ahead—the studio fills up quickly! Here’s the timeline we recommend to stay ahead of the rush.
AUGUST 2025
Week 1: Denial. You wake up sweating and confused why you're even thinking about Christmas.
Week 2: Acceptance. Yes, it’s 110° outside—but it’s officially Holiday Planning season.
Week 3: Your Type-A clients are already emailing you. Panic slightly. Increase caffeine intake.
Week 4: Regroup and start reserving your weekend studio slots now—we’re nearly at capacity!
SEPTEMBER 2025
Week 1: Creative Vision Time. Map out your holiday looks, themes, and marketing plan based on our accents
Week 2: Set Design & Prep. Get your holiday sets built and studio-tested—weekday availability still exists!
Week 3: Behind-the-Scenes Buzz. Start teasing your sets and vibe on socials to warm up interest.
Week 4: Get familiar with our seasonal setups in studio or online, and get prepped to start weekday sessions—weekends are likely already booked!
OCTOBER 2025
Weeks 1–2: Start shooting! Capture beautiful minis and family sets for promos and galleries.
Week 3: Teasers & Previews. Post sneak peeks from your sessions to create FOMO.
Week 4: Go big with marketing! Push your mini sessions and promote remaining weekday slots.
NOVEMBER 2025
Week 1: Offer last-chance perks or small promos to fill your final spots.
Weeks 2–3: Focus shifts to full family and group portraits—clients want those classic shots!
Week 4: Urgency mode. Remind your audience that this is the final call to book at Black and Light Studio.
DECEMBER 2025
Week 1: Sneak in a few last-minute sessions if there’s space. Be a hero.
Week 2: It’s editing central—deliver those magic moments in time for the holidays.
Week 3: Send final galleries and remind clients to order prints/cards early!
Week 4: Cheers! Celebrate your success, share client highlights, and start planning 2026 (after a much needed nap).
